                CALL FOR PAPERS

		     for

the Fourth International Conference of the Austrian Center
for Parallel Computation (ACPC). This conference covers all
aspects related to parallel computation and includes special
tracks on

 - Parallel Numerics (ParNum'99)
 - Parallel Computing in Image Processing, Video Processing,
   and Multimedia.

Location: Salzburg, Austria
Date: February 16 - 18, 1999.

The Austrian Center for Parallel Computation (ACPC) is a
cooperative research organization founded in 1989 to promote
research and education in the field of Software for Parallel
Computer Science.

This conference is is intended as a forum for both researchers
and practitioners in the field of parallel computation. Beside
the traditional topics special emphasis is given to Parallel
Numerics and Parallel Computing in Image Processing, Video
Processing, and Multimedia.

This conference merges two events: The series of International
Conferences of the ACPC and the workshop series ParNum (Parallel
Numerics).

The proceedings of the entire conference will be published as
a volume of Lecture Notes of Computer Science (Springer).
Furthermore a special issue of a journal will be devoted to
selected papers of the special tracks.

Paper deadline for paper submission (full paper, not exceeding
10 pages LNCS format) is 18. June 1998.

We invite submissions of papers presenting original research
in parallel computation including high-performance computing.
This includes but is not limited to the following areas:

	  Algorithms
	  Applications
	  Architectures
	  Compilers
	  Languages
	  Programming Environments
	  Databases
	  I/O

Special emphasis is given to papers on

	  Parallel numerics
Parallel computing in image processing, video processing,
                                and multimedia.

For more complete information, especially regarding submission
procedures and registration, please refer to the ACPC'99 website
