EWDC is a traditional European forum for researchers and practitioners who
are working in the field of dependable computing. The workshop will
consist of presentations, discussions, and informal meetings covering
recent advances and current issues in theory, technology, and applications
of dependable computing. It is intended to promote interaction among workshop
participants by providing a platform for the discussion of on-going research
with peer researchers and practitioners. The workshop gives the attendants
the opportunity to present novel, even non yet matured ideas and strategies
for dependable computing, and to obtain valuable feedback from their
colleagues in the field.

The theme of this year's workshop is ``Design Methods and Tools for Dependable
Systems and Quality of Service''. Hence, the emphasis of the workshop
includes, but is not limited to, the following topics:

+ Design models for dependable systems
    + Design evaluation and verification
+ Modeling of hardware and software architectures
    + Automatic decision support
    + Design for validation
+ Design testing -- testable designs
+ Design for maintenance and reconfiguration
+ Design strategies for ultra-high dependability
+ Methods for dependable real-time behaviour
    + Quality assurance
    + Scalable dependability
    + Quality assessment
