Max-Planck-Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience
Workgroup on Signal and Image Processing
The Workgroup on Signal and Image Processing is seeking applicants
for a Post-Doctoral Research Position within an EC-funded project
focusing on the simulation of the biomechanical properties of the
human brain by finite element models.
The successful applicant will be expected to participate in an
advanced research and development effort centered on the following
topics:
o mesh generation from magnetic resonance imaging data
o simulation of (non-)linear deformation by finite-element models
o model validation on time-series images of pathological processes
Successful applicants should have an advanced degree in Mathematics,
Physics, Computer Science or Engineering, and significant experience
in image processing and simulations using finite element models. The
term of the position is currently limited to two years. A starting
