who are working in the field of dependable computing.

This workshop series consists of presentations and discussions on the
theory, design, tech- nology, and applications of dependable computing.
This year, the intention of the organizers is to help the exchange of
ideas and opinions by promoting discussions among workshop participants.
The workshop organizers encourage the submission of reports on innovative
works in progress to obtain valuable feedback from their colleagues in
the field. The topic of EWDC-11 is "Systems Integration in the Design of
Dependable Services".

Accordingly, the workshop focuses onto the following topics:
- Component and system integration based design processes for dependable
  systems
- Modeling of component based hardware and software architectures
- Evaluation, testing, validation, and verification in IP reuse based
  designs
- Technologies for the incorporation of COTS components into dependable
  systems
