Distributed Simulation Technology, Inc., the leader in Distributed Simulation Training, is offering the following Modeling and Simulation short courses.

  * "Military Simulation: Techniques & Technology" in Huntsville on April 16-18, 2001
  * "A Practical Guide to HLA Development " in Orlando on May 1-4, 2001

"Military Simulation: Techniques & Technology" is a 3-day short course that goes far beyond typical program overviews. The course will significantly raise the level of awareness and understanding that is essential in the military simulation field. Attendees will learn the essential concepts for simulation interoperability, architectures, models and applications. Developers and Managers will be prepared to use the newest technologies available and will gain an appreciation for the history of the field. This class is a great opportunity to expose new engineers to the field of Modeling and Simulation. This course is being held April 16-18, 2001 in Huntsville, AL.

For in-depth training on the High Level Architecture and the RTI, DiSTI is offering the 4-day Hands-On short course "A Practical Guide to HLA Development " May 1-4, 2001 in Orlando, FL. The objective of this course is to provide M&S application developers with the basic skills to enable them to develop new HLA compliant simulations or convert their legacy applications to best utilize the RTI capabilities. This Hands-On course designed to provide students with an unbiased look at the mechanics of building an HLA application using the RTI software. Explore the issues of retrofitting legacy systems to accommodate HLA. During the course students will develop small applications during hands-on programming exercises, which will exercise the full range of HLA runtime infrastructure. Work with the latest tools from DMSO and MAK Technologies to see how easy it is to make your simulator HLA compliant.
