Technical Session/Workshop on

   Parallel and Distributed Programming Tools for Grids

at the

   at the 10th Euromicro Workshop on
   Parallel, Distributed and Network-based Processing (PDP 2002),

   Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain January 9-11, 2002.

Computational Grids are persistent environments established by combining
diverse high-performance computing systems and specialized peripheral
hardware. In order to exploit the available processing power, software
applications must be adapted and tailored to the characteristics of the
Grid. In this context, various aspects of program development must be
addressed by parallel and distributed programming tools and environments.
In concrete, research papers corresponding to the following topics of
interest are invited and expected:

   * (Integrated) Program development tools
   * Tools for testing and debugging
   * Performance analysis and evaluation tools
   * Data (re-)partitioning, load-balancing, and scheduling tools
   * On-line monitoring and computational steering tools
   * Domain-specific analysis tools
   * Software visualization tools
   * Visual programming languages and tools

Paper Submission:
   * paper not exceeding 4000 words
   * including a 150-200 word abstract
   * for anonymous reviewing process, the first page of the paper
     should contain only the title and the abstract
   * details of submission will be provided at
     http://www.gup.uni-linz.ac.at/pdp2002/submission.html

A PostScript or PDF version of your paper must be submitted
electronically to pdp2002@gup.uni-linz.ac.at. Hard copies
should be sent only if electronic submission is not possible.

Please follow the PDP 2002 guidelines for more information
on submission. Submission implies the willingness of at
least one of the authors to register and present the paper.

Please include a cover page which lists the following:
   * name, affiliation, address and e-mail address of each author
   * name of the presenting author; name of the contact author
   * a maximum of 5 keywords

Proceedings:
  The proceedings will be published by IEEE Computer Society.

Important Dates:
   * Closing date for submissions: June 18, 2001
   * Acceptance notification: September 28, 2001
