[regrets if you receive multiple copies]

Dear Colleagues:

Many of you participated in the 1st Modeling and Simulation Education and
Training
Track during the SCSC-2000 in Vancouver, Canada. Last year activities resulted
in accelerated efforts toward meeting the challenges in educating and training
Modeling and Simulation (M&S) professional. The organizers of this year have
already contacted some of you directly about this year's track. I would like
to briefly provide you with additional information about this year's venue.

This year's M&S Education and Training track objective is to provide a
comprehensive venue through:

1. Increased contributions and participation from academia, government, and
industry

2. Presenting outcomes of the Professional Certification Program (PCP)
activities
since Sept. 2000

3. Supporting active participation of all interested individuals and
organizations in the PCP

4. Contributions from national and international M&S Centers (e.g., IST,
MSREC,
VMASC, MOVES, ACIMS, etc.)

5. Presenting results of VMASC/ODU workshop dedicated on building an
infrastructure
to enable collaborative, multi-university M&S MS and Ph.D. programs.

6. Contributions from professional organization delivering education and
training to
DoD and industry (AEgis, MSIAC, etc.)

Please refer to the Call for Participation which is attached. An expanded
version
of the CFP is also available at the following URL. We would be great to
hear about
anything specific you might be interested in and considering for inclusion
in this
year's event.

We are looking forward to have many of last year's contributors and
participation
taking part in this year's track. I will be happy to provide further
information and
discuss possibilities.

The initial due date for abstract is March 30th. If you would need
additional time,
please let me know so that we can proper arrangements.

Sincere Regards,
--Hessam Sarjoughian

P.S., I would greatly appreciate if you could forward this email to your
colleagues
and friends who might be interested in the M&S Education and Training.
Thank you!
