Ph.D. CANDIDATE POSITION IN COMPUTER ENGINEERING

Interconnection networks and computer architectures for parallel 
and
distributed computing systems

with placement at the School of Information Science, Computer and
Electrical Engineering

This is a full time Ph.D. candidate position with duties to begin 
as soon
as possible.

Assignments:
The position is focused on the development of new communication 
networks
and computer architectures, and methods for such systems, with 
the aim of
giving increased functionality and predictable behavior of the 
computer
systems. The goal is to ease development and extension of 
parallel and
distributed computing systems. The project is focused on embedded 
signal
processing systems with supercomputer performance. In addition to 
Halmstad
University, Ericsson Microwave Systems (Mölndal) and Mercury 
Computer
Systems (Boston, USA) are also participating in the project, 
which makes
good industrial contacts and possibilities of longer visits 
abroad or in
industry.
