TITEL: Visualisation of Relations
========================================================================
ABSTRACT: Much of the information in Science and Technology
consists of relationships between the entities and thus can be 
modelled
mathematically as graphs. Examples include webgraphs and social 
network
data, UML diagrams in software engineering, and biological data such 
as
phylogenetic trees and Protein-Protein Interaction networks. In this talk
we describe methods for the visualization of such relationships.

Kurzbiographie zu Professor Peter Eades
========================================================================
Peter Eades is one of the founding fathers of the area of Graph Drawing, 
and also one of the co-authors of the standard textbook on this topic 
today. He currently holds the Chair of Software Technology in the School of 
Information Technology at the University of Sydney.  He has also just taken 
on a role with the National ICT Australia as Program Leader of the Humand 
Understanding Machines Program.  His main research interest is information 
visualisation - in particular, software visualisation, financial 
visualisation, algorithms (especially geometric algorithms), graph drawing 
and program analysis.
