	     SECOND CALL for papers (deadline 30th Jan.)

Euro-Par is an annual series of international conferences dedicated to
the promotion and advancement of all aspects of parallel
computing. The major themes can be divided into the broad categories
of hardware, software, algorithms and applications for parallel
computing. The objective of Euro-Par is to provide a forum within
which to promote the development of parallel computing both as an
industrial technique and an academic discipline, extending the
frontier of both the state of the art and the state of the practice.

Euro-Par 2004 covers traditional research fields, that is topics
already covered in previous Euro-Par conferences, as well as new ones,
such as High performance bioinformatics, or topics that appeared
recently in the conference, as the Demo session.

The list of topics covered by Euro-Par 2004 sessions is the following:

* Support tools and environments
* Performance evaluation
* Scheduling and load balancing
* Compilers for high performance
* Parallel and distributed databases, data mining and knowledge
  discovery
* Grid and cluster computing
* Applications on high performance computers
* Parallel computer architecture and ILP
* Distributed systems and algorithms
* Parallel programming models, methods and languages
* Numerical algorithms
* High performance multimedia
* Theory and algorithms for parallel computation
* Routing and communication in interconnection networks
* Mobile computing
* Integrated problem solving environments
* High performance bioinformatics
* Peer-to-peer and web computing
* Demo session

Full papers and research notes can be submitted. Full papers (8
pages, LNCS style papers) should present original research results.
Research notes (4 pages, LNCS style papers) may concern preliminary
results as well as ongoing, original research activities. Special
submission rules hold for the Demo session. Both full papers and
research notes must be submitted to a specific topic. Authors may
specify a secondary topic, if the case. Papers submission will be
performed electronically using the conference WEB site. Accepted
paper formats include both PDF and Postscript. The accepted papers
must be supplied in both PS or PDF and source. All accepted papers
will be included in the conference proceedings. The conference
proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag in the LNCS series.
