I have a functional driver I wrote for the USB version that I'm about to release, but reading this it looks like I may have missed something. Is Vision requiring/requesting drivers be ok'd by them before they are released? It still doesn't. I wrote the beginnings of isochronous support for this. It's by far not complete and it'll need some work to be useful for all of the isochronous transfer, but it's a start. > If it has, do you know roughlt when it was added to the USB stack. Isochronous transfer will probably never go into the 2.2.x kernel, but rather into the 2.3.x kernel. The impression I got from Linus was only simple USB stuff like Keyboards, Mice, Hubs, and Printers will go into the stable kernel. I'm sure there will be an unofficial patch against 2.2.x at some time (heh, like mine) so we'll see. I subscribed on Monday, and having lurked since then with no traffic, I now feel the need to post. I am very pleased to see that Vision have released the information on the Webcam II. I emailed someone requesting the information last June, but they were not interested at the time. My question is what state is the PPC2 driver in? Should I rush out and purchase my own Creative WebCam II so I can contribute? -- `O O' | Home: Nick.Holloway@alfie.demon.co.uk http://www.alfie.demon.co.uk/ // ^ \\ | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe from this mailinglist, send the line "unsubscribe vision-webcam" in the body of a message to "majordomo@errors.no".
