Hello,
I'm trying to get a USB Supercam Wondereye camera to work on my Linux
systems. I'm using kernel 2.4.0 with the alternate (JE) UHCI code compiled
in, as well as the Video-for-Linux, CPIA, and CPIA_USB stuff. The camera
seems to be correctly identified in dmesg and in /proc/cpia/video1 (video0 is
my TV tuner card)--see the output below.
But when I run gqcam -v /dev/video1, the power light on the webcam will
flicker once, and then after less than a second, I get the error "/dev/video:
Input/output error". That's as far as I get. I've tried this on two
different systems, using Mandrake 7.2 and Slackware 7.1, with the exact same
results. Anyone know what I'm missing? I appreciate any comments.
Thanks,
Karl Oberjohn
