I wanted to let everyone know that starting from kernel 2.4.4-ac6 cpia_write_proc has been disabled as being insecure. I don't know why, but I have written to Alan Cox and Alexander Viro to find out (they killed it). If anybody has more insight into this, please let me know. Scott J. Bertin sbertin@securenym.net
