I believe there may even be another set of recent patches that may not have made it to the CVS in past messages on this mailing list that may be needed. Compiled fine, but when i rebooted, it hangs when the usb.c finds the cpia camera. Tried it on a tyan tiger mpx chipset, and a intel bx chipset, and i get the same problems. It works fine as a module though. The code I modified was the USB wireless Linksys driver, all I did really was modify the vendor/product id. Anyway, I never experienced this error before I loaded up the cpia_usb and cpia driver to support the QX3 microscope. I am writing a plug in for the gimp. Anyway I get this error only when the cpia drivers are loaded. I am running the latest and greatest cpia cvs source. The Microsocope works, but I get these errors. And.. sometime at boot up when the driver loads I get a kernel panic from the cpia_usb driver. I get a ton of these error and then Kablam! Is anyone else experiencing this? Is there going to be new cpia code in cvs soon? I am writing a GIMP plugin in for the microscope. At some point the second one was really broken. Don't know about the current status. And as long as I use the uhci-driver I do not get the error-messages you report. As for cpia-updates: there are no active developers. Someone should do the following: - release a new version of the driver based on the current CVS - push patches to Marcelo and Linus - mark the 'closed' development on the web-page Just contact me if you have spare time. :) -Peter On Sat, Mar 30, 2002 at 12:11:51AM -0500, Jerry Normandin wrote: > Hi, > > I am using kernel 2.4.x , I've been using and even modifying > usb code for a while now. I though that usb-uhci was the good usb driver, and the *other* uhci driver had problems.... (Maybe I got it mixed up?)
