|  Aufgrund von Bauarbeiten im Rechnerraum erfolgt auf den 
|  Grossrechenanalgen:
|     mach.edvz.uni-linz.ac.at    (SGI UV1000)
|     mach2.edvz.uni-linz.ac.at   (SGI UV3000)
|  im Zeitraum
|     (Oster-)Montag, 5. April  bis (inklusive) Freitag 9. April 2021
|  eine 
|     geplante UNTERBRECHUNG des Rechenbetriebes 
|  indem diese Anlagen komplett abgeschaltet (und fuer die Woche unter 
|  Staubschutzfolie gepackt) werden.
|
|  Diese "planned Downtime" umfasst auch die zugehoerigen Test-, Neben- 
|  und Hilfsrechner wie lilli, lotte, messier (=itpstorage), clusto, zusie
|  und claudius. NICHT aber lise (bzw. relise): Fuer die Rechen-Cluster
|  ist KEINE Betriebsunterbrechung vorgesehen!
|
|  Bitte beruecksichtigen Sie diese Unterbrechung (erstreckt sich 
|  ueber die gesamte Woche (KW14) ab Ostermontag) bei der Planung Ihrer
|  Rechenlaeufe am allgemeinen Compute Server Pool der Uni Linz.
|

|  Due to construction work in the server room, the two Capability
|  Computing Systems:
|     mach.edvz.uni-linz.ac.at    (SGI UV1000)
|     mach2.edvz.uni-linz.ac.at   (SGI UV3000)
|  (including all of the related auxiliary and utility compute nodes, 
|  e.g. lotte, zusie, lilli, ...) have to undergo over the next Week a
|     planned DOWNTIME from  Monday to Friday inclusive
|     (Calendar Week 14 of 2021: April 5th - April 9th)
|  and hence NOT BE AVAILABLE for user access (actually the compute
|  racks need to be shielded by some kind of dust protection cover).
|
|  NOTA BENE: The compute cluster systems {re,}lise are NOT affected -
|             they are scheduled to remain in operation!
|
|  We apologize for any inconvenience and thank for your understanding. 
|  Please, stay tuned and bear with us!
