We invite applications for a one-year postdoctoral position in
theoretical computer science at the University of Waterloo, to start
1 September 1998 (possibly renewable for another year). Areas of
interest include:

* algorithm design and analysis
* graph theory algorithms
* tree-structured problems (including bounded treewidth and pathwidth)
* parallel computation
* distributed algorithms
* data structures

Candidates should have completed a PhD in computer science by the
start date. Teaching opportunities might be available.

Applications in the form of a C.V. plus the names of 2-3 academic references
should be sent as soon as possible (but no later than June 30, 1998) to:
