[cpia] Ezcam USB and audio ?

Camera: Ezcam USB

This camera seems to work great with kernel 2.2.17pre6 with a 2.4.0-test2 
backport on an iMac running linuxppc. Try as I may I can't get the audio 
to work with this camera. I usually get an error like 

/dev/dsp : Invalid argument

and xawtv then crashes. I do have /dev/dsp and /dev/audio and I have esound 
installed as well. 

Does sound not work on this camera?

PS: This camera does not work with MacOS but works with linux-usb drivers!!
Kudos to the linux-usb and cpia developers.
