(Quick system stats:
( ALi M5237 USB controller
( usb-ohci module
( Redhat 7 w/ 2.2.17-14 kernel
( Utobia USB SpyCam - Manufactored by TNC <?>

Well, I was hoping it was that simple, but here is what happens:
I aliased char-major-81 to cpia_usb in my modules.conf, and when I load a
cam program (gqcam for example), the camera powers up, but no picture shows
up.
When the modules load and the program executes, I get this in my messages
file:

Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic kernel: V4L-Driver for Vision CPiA based cameras
v1.2.0
Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.17-14/misc/parport_pc.o:
init_module: Device or resource busy
Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic insmod: Hint: insmod errors can be caused by
incorrect module parameters, including invalid IO or IRQ parameters
Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic insmod: /lib/modules/2.2.17-14/misc/parport_pc.o:
insmod cpia_pp failed
Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic kernel: usb.c: registered new driver cpia
Feb 10 12:45:27 gothic kernel: USB CPiA camera found
Feb 10 12:45:28 gothic kernel: CPiA Version: 1.30 (2.10)
Feb 10 12:45:28 gothic kernel: CPiA PnP-ID: 0553:0002:0100
Feb 10 12:45:28 gothic kernel: VP-Version: 1.0 0100

Since I don't have a Parallel camera, I ignored the parport error. These
modules are loaded:

cpia_usb 4912 0 (autoclean) (unused)
cpia 60128 0 [cpia_usb]
videodev 2656 1 (autoclean) [cpia]

About 70% of the time, when I load gqcam, and it sits there "testing the
speed", I'll also get dumps like this in my messages file:

Feb 10 12:44:18 gothic kernel: cpia.c:parse_picture(2257):EOL not found
giving up after 1478/87524 bytes

And if I try to shutdown the cam program, it will lock up. I'll need to
Ctrl-C or kill the app. At that point the Cam powers down, and everything
is fine again.
Usually around that point, I might get a message that says:

Feb 10 12:44:17 gothic kernel: usb-ohci.c: unlink URB timeout!

So, that's where I stand.. =]
